What kinds of products can be made on D&R Starch Mogul  


-Gelatin based candy . Gelatin need long time for solidifying , therefore it need flexible molding system for making shape , D&R starch mogul can easily make the different shape according the requirement , it is the most suitable system for massive production of gelatin based gummy . Gelatin based gummy is very nice looking , transparent , colorful , centre filled , Good taste and with more better texture . Gelatin based gummy consists of GELATIN, GLUCOSE ,SUGAR ,WATER  and so on .

-Pectin based candy , mainly made by apple pectin or orange pectin , good taste , easy to bite .

-The other materials like carrageenan , aga aga , arabic gum can be used on D&R Starch Mogul.

Description of project

D&R not only supply the full plant of starch mogul for making the gummy ,but also train customer to know how to make good products on D&R starch mogul.
D&R starch mogul plant includes the kitchen system,starch mogul machine, final products finishing system, starch conditioning system , curing room .


1. Full automatic Kitchen system of D&R STARCH MOGUL  
The kitchen system of STARCH MOGUL consists of  the material preparation, automatic weighing and dissolving system as recipes, cooking system, CFA system,hot water
and warm water system, and so on.  With one control group accordingly.
The details as following:

1.1, HOW TO MAKE Pectin/Agar Agar/Carrageenan/Modify starch Solution for producing on D&R STARCH MOGUL

1.1.1 Dissolving all material solution by kitchen system of  D&R STARCH MOGUL         
Dissolving the material in dissolving tank of starch mogul , tank made by stainless steel 304 material , with steam jacket and insulation jacket. Speed controlled by inverter
with temperature display. With high speed mixing motor to fast mix the material and hot water . Automatic pneumatic discharging butterfly valve for discharging the prepared
material automatic to buffer tank of starch mogul.

1.1.2 Buffer tank of starch mogul        
Full tank Made by stainless steel 304  , with hot water jacket for keeping warm for material solution ,with temperature display. With fixed speed Mixing motor with gearbox, automatic discharging by Pneumatic discharging butterfly valve by discharge pump. 

1.1.3 Discharge pump     
Material solution send by a Lobe pump with SEW motor , pump also with warm keeping jacket. With capacity at 3tone per hour.
Till here the first material solution is ready and waiting for use,then see the second material solution of starch mogul .

1.1.4 Gelatin solution of starch mogul.

1.2 Rework solution of starch mogul system .

1.2.1 Starch/recycle solution of starch mogul
For saving the cost , it allowes to put small percentage of rework material solution in recipe. the material dissolve together with hot water in special steam jacked tank , full tank made by stainless   steel 304  material ,  with inverter control the mixing speed , also with the automatic water measure system and steam control system .
After material get ready,it will be sent by Pneumatic discharging butterfly valve to buffer tank through discharge pump.

1.2.2 Buffer tank of starch mogul
After rework solution is ready , it will be sent to a buffer tank .            
The buffer tank is with s.s 304 material  , with hot water jacket ,with temperature display.
Mixing motor is with gearbox: fixed speed mixing

1.2.3 Discharge pump    
Use advanced Lobe pump with SEW motor for sending the material to next step of starch mogul system .

1.3 Glucose warming system of starch mogul
For fast making the material ready , we should use heated glucose , so we use a glucose tank for whole starch mogul system. The material is sent by a pump.  

1.3.1 Glucose tank

The feeding system from the main glucose tank is controlled by level sensor. Whole tank with insulation jacket.

After mixing all the material together as recipe , the material will be sent to cooker of starch mogul automatically for cooking .


1.6 Cooking system of starch mogul

The dissolved  syrup in the buffer tank will be fed by rotor pump, through flow meter and filter, it enters the bottom of the tubular cooker, it will be heated to the setting temperature equally, then send to vacuum chamber for getting the required brix.
The dissolved slurry will be heated evenly till the setting temperature because there is a pressure valve. There is a tee, if the temperature of slurry after cooking hasn’t reached the setting one, the slurry will go back to the buffer tank in front of the tubular cooker. The good cooked slurry will go into the vacuum chamber. Vacuum tank will boil off some steam and cool down.

2   D&R STARCH MOGUL MACHINE



Depositor Section of starch mogul designed for 2 Depositing Positions and equipped with 2 SERVO DRIVEN pumps.  Each pump deposits the entire tray by one stroke.

2.1  Pallet conveyor of starch mogul
The empty tray or gummy candies with starch trays will be conveyed from the cooling room to the tray stacker of starch mogul and feeder frame by pallet fork lifter which moved by operator

2.2  Automatic tray feeder of starch mogul
The trays will be stacked(5pcs trays per stack) and lifted to the tray feeder of starch mogul. The Feeder is equipped with input roller track on which the operator places the pallet. Standard entry method is from the end of the track. Full stack height gates are provided for positive, safe stack feeding. Full stack-height rollers ensure the stacks are straight when entering the Feeder. The gates close behind the stack and remain closed until the whole stack is safely de-stacked. The stack is first de-stacking into groups of 5 trays which are then separated into single trays. The de-stacking conveyor moves 

2.3 STARCH SECTION OF STARCH MOGUL

2.3.1  Tray emptying
With 360 degree turning table, 2 stroke working .  Tray with products insert into turning table , the tray will be turn 180 degree for discharging the products into vibration sieve , then turn another 180 degree up, then be pushed out from  the turn table .

2.3.2  Starch and product separation of starch mogul
Starch with products after discharge at turn table , will fall onto vibration sieve . with pre-starch cleaner to separate the starch and products.
With vibration sieve or rotating drum .
Then gummy be sent out from the machine to cleaning system of starch mogul . starch will be recycled to use and send to starch conditioning system of starch mogul .

2.3.3     Starch collection by a series of internal spirals and an external vertical spiral.
 After starch separate sieve , the starch will be collected by the group of spiral system under the vibration sieve . starch send by external vertical spiral to starch conditioning system of starch mogul 

2.3.4      Tray filling and surface leveling of starch mogul. 
A starch hopper positioned over the tray conveyor dispenses starch into the tray. The amount of starch is regulated by the variable speed rotary paddle in the hopper. The starch surface is smoothed by the reciprocating horizontal leveler immediately after filling.

2.3.5       Printing of product shapes in starch is by the complete mold board which installed on the starch mogul which permits pressed to be transmitted to the mold for accurate molding and clean mold lift off. A controllable pneumatic knocking mechanism is provided to free the mold cleanly and break the vacuum before the mold board is lifted.  Mold board is held by quick acting lever clamps and are slid into place by one man from the side of the machine.  Speed of printing is adjustable according to the main speed

2.3.6       The Trays are transported through the Starch Section of starch mogul by one servo motor, it will synchronize with starch mogul.

2.3.7     The Frame of starch mogul is designed to accommodate 2 pumping positions. At each position of the pumps, depositing the material inside the trays with 1 stroke/tray depositing system.
The No. 1 servo motor depositor of starch mogul is equipped with a pump of side-by-side design capable of depositing up to 6 separate color articles per tray. The pump is equipped with two hoppers, each divided into three parts .

Typically the pump on the first position of starch mogul is used to produce center filling gummy pieces. The hoppers are equipped with heating oil jacket, and are electric heated as standard. The pumps use rotary valves ensuring identical delivery of candy mass to each piston and nozzle, as well as simplicity of operation and low repair costs. The valve bar is made of stainless steel 316. The rotary valves running is effected by a conventional pneumatic cylinder, connected by connecting bar.  The pump body made by smithing albronze, more stronger.
The Depositor settings of starch mogul for deposited volume such as the length of the piston stroke as well as the timing of the rotary valve bar are effected through adjust on the touch screen parameter. The precise adjustment of the volume controlled by motion controller.
Two important parts on the depositing pump of starch , namely the Nozzle plate and the piston bar, are designed to deposit a specific product. Charge of product often makes it necessary to change these parts which because of their design can be changed within minutes. first depositing pump of starch mogul supplied on the machine should with one nozzle plate and two piston bar, second depositing pump of starch mogul supplied on the machine should with one nozzle plate and one piston bar .
The depositor is driven by servo motors, one time depositing for one tray gummy, it suits for producing  gummy with center filling. the 1st depositing head of starch mogul has 3 more servo motors, one for tray lift and another two for center filling.
The No.2 depositor of starch mogul is servo driven depositing head for normal gummy without center filling. The pump is equipped with two hoppers, each divided into three parts.

2.3.8  The Trays are transported through the Depositor Section by one servo motor, which is synchronized with the starch mogul
 
2.3.9  Automatic Tray Stacker of starch mogul

Construction is similar to the feeder. A group of up to 5 trays is accumulated in the stacker magazine. Stacker clamps carry the groups of trays in a smooth, continuous motion and form a complete stack on the pallet at the discharge side of the section. The empty pallets are automatically delivered from the feeder to the stacker by the pallet underfeed conveyor, once the stack of tray is complete, the pallet is advanced to make room for the next stack. When two stacks are complete, the pallet is advanced further onto the roller track from which it is transported to the cooling room by small cart. The starch mogul comes equipped with electric motors, sensors and switch gear, wired to the control cabinets located on or within each section of the machine.

After seperated starch and candy get inside starch mogul , candy will be sent by conveyor to cleaning system and finishing system . the starch will be sent to starch conditioning system of starch mogul.

3.  Starch Conditioning system of starch mogul .  
It includes drying system and cooling system. The processing of drying is through vertical heat exchange principle. The starch which the humidity cannot meet the requirement of the production in the starch mogul, will be sent to starch conditioning system through screw. The starch inside drying machine be suspend on the scraping board tube, the suspended starch will be sent to cooling system. This starch also will be fed by screw and cooled down by the cold air which suck in from the heat exchanger of starch mogul. The finished starch will be sent to depositing machine again. The processing of starch drying will use the bag type collecting machine, and ensure collecting all of the starch and no waste. No dust will flow into the room.

The gummies will be sent to following group of machines of starch mogul for cleaning , and coating by sugar or oiling as required. 
4.  FINISHING PRODUCTS SECTION AND COATING SYSTEM OF STARCH MOGUL
The finished candy will be sent inside machine and through a serial air blow mesh conveyor for separating the starch and finishing candy.  And the starch will be circled to starch conditioning system. The candy will be sent to oiling &coating machine
Standard candy cleaning, oil drum and sugar coater.
 
4.1  Finished products conveyor(standard length) of starch mogul
The finished products conveyor is especial design for the starch mogul attached with starch removing system. Continuously conveying the finished candy on this machine and simple remove the starch stick on the surface of candy, starch removing system with one couple of blowers driven by compressed air. Blower fixed on the bottom and top of the s.s conveyor belt, finish the starch removing of the candies. The top blower connecting with dust collecting pipe, this dust collect system be connected with dust collector by outer pipe.

The candy cleaner is especial design for the starch mogul plant. It will continuous cleaning the starch stick on the candies. Machine with 3 couple of blowers driven by motor help by compressed air fix on bottom and top of the belt. Attached with dust collecting pipe, be connected with dust collector.

5.Following is another important point of D&R STARCH MOGUL
After sugar slurry deposited into the cavities of starch molds inside trays . it is still liquid, need remove the moisture inside material through molding starch inside trays of starch mogul line .therefore it need another system ,that is curing room , also named drying room , it is special designed , can be used for single cool drying , single hot drying , or cooling drying and hot drying together for one products .
Then stack after depositing with products , then be sent into curing room for removing the moisture and parameter change of candy. Curing room is key point of processing for starch mogul . The system consists on rooms, machine , piping , automatic control and so on .

Gelatin based gummy made by starch mogul , it need use cooling condition . as the specification settle , in our curing room(drying room ) , need 18-24hours for drying and get the right brix , then send back to mogul for clean the starch on the surface of candies , then coating by sugar or oil , if coating by sugar coating system of starch mogul , the candy should use second drying , as before sugar coating , the candy go through the steam cleaner of starch mogul, it will have moisture on the candy surface , need drying again.
Pectin based candy , it also need cooling drying .after drying to required condition, send back to mogul for clean the starch on the surface of candies , then coating by sugar or oil , if coating by sugar  coating system of starch mogul , the candy should use second drying , as before sugar coating , the candy go through the steam cleaner of starch mogul, it will have moisture on the candy surface , need drying again.
Carrageenan based candy made by starch mogul , it should use the hot air drying , need 24-48hours with our room , then send back to mogul for clean the starch on the surface of candies , then coating by sugar or oil , if coating by sugar coating system of starch mogul , the candy should use second drying , as before sugar coating , the candy go through the steam cleaner of starch mogul, it will have moisture on the candy surface , need drying again.
Modify starch candy which made by starch mogul , the candy should use hot drying , need 24-48hours for drying , then send back to mogul for clean the starch on the surface of candies , then coating by sugar or oil , if coating by sugar coating system of starch mogul , the candy should use second drying , as before sugar coating , the candy go through the steam cleaner of starch mogul, it will have moisture on the candy surface , need drying again.
